Henry "Hank" Richard Shores, 86, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born September 26, 1936, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Parker and Elsie Ewan Shores.
Hank was a graduate of McKinley High School and was a retired employee at Wheeling Rubber Products. He also was a past director of Stumptown Steam Thresher Association, and mem- ber of the Church of Christ.
He always handed out peanut brittle at Christmas and enjoyed woodworking. He would give out many of his homemade gifts to his family & friends.
In addition to his parents, Hank was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Orth; and brother, Kenny Shores.
Hank is survived by his wife, Anna Marie Sligar Orth Shores; 2 sons, Mike (Brenda) Orth & Thomas A. Orth; 2 sisters, Kathy (Jay) Parsons & Sandy Eubank; 3 grandsons, Kevin Orth, Ryan Orth & Matt Horton; 5 great-grandchildren, Henry Orth and Matthew, Andrea, Emma & Campbell Horton; and many nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 11 AM until the time of service at 2 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304-242-2311) with Minister Ryan Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at Park View Memorial Gardens, Wheeling, WV.
