John Wilson Gregory Jr., 82, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at his home.
He was born February 3, 1941, in Ohio County, WV, son of the late Mary Bowers Gregory and John Wilson Gregory, Sr.
John was a retired steelworker and member of Sand Hill United Methodist Church, Wheeling, WV.
He loved playing his guitar, gardening, fishing, hunting, golfing, and singing in his church choir.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by son, John Steven Gregory in 2020; brother, George Vacheresse; 4 sisters, Rose Violet, Ada Sharon Larese, Barbara Hartley & Romaine Leshuk; and stepsister, Martha Burch.
John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Donna Rae Tennant Gregory; daughter, Kimberly Gregory of Wheeling, WV; 3 sisters, Martha Patterson of West Liberty, WV, Sara Maglietta of Valley Grove, WV & Edith Cooper of Wheeling, WV; 3 grandsons, Steven, Chris & Dylan; 5 great- grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304-242-2311) where services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Monica Salvo officiating. Interment to follow in Park View Memorial Gardens.
