John Robert Pyle Sr., 79, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
He was born December 3, 1943, son of the late James and Mary Martha Cree Pyle in Benwood, WV.
He graduated from Union High School.
John was a WVU fan who put family first in everything he did. His grandchildren and great-grandson were the joy of his life. He enjoyed seafood, traveling, a good western and going to his grandson's football games and his granddaughter's dance recitals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Kosticky Pyle; and three brothers, Jim, George and Charlie Pyle.
He is survived by his son, Bob (Amy) Pyle; grandson, JR (Anna) Pyle; granddaughter, Kierstan Pyle; great-grandson, Cooper John Pyle; sister, Carolyn (Wade) Richey; and several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews.
There will be no services.
