In Loving Memory of Lois M. Hupp.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lois Hupp, a cherished woman who touched the lives of all who knew her.
Born July 13, 1942 in West Finley, Pennsylvania, Lois departed this world on August 15, 2023 peacefully and gracefully in her beloved home in Moundsville, WV.
Lois was a devout follower of the Lord, finding strength and guidance through her unwavering faith. Her love for cooking and hosting guests was a gift she shared generously. A gracious host, she created warm and memorable gatherings, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to be in her company.
Lois loved to travel and explored the world with a sense of wonder and enthusiasm. She had a deep affection for animals and their companionship brought her immeasurable joy. She also thoroughly enjoyed playing cards with her family and found great joy in watching her grandchildren play sports and succeed academically, and growing as loving, caring, productive human beings. She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved them deeply.
Her devotion to WVU Athletics showcased her passionate spirit, always cheering on her beloved team.
Lois was also deeply engaged in the realm of politics, eager to discuss and explore the issues that shaped our world. Her career as a secretary at Columbia Gas displayed her dedication and diligence, leaving a lasting impact on her professional community.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Mary (Gildersleeve) Macdonald; and her sister, Marilyn Tyson and brother, John Macdonald.
Those left to cherish Lois' memory include her children, Janell Hunter and Ashley (Joel) Mazzella; brother, Jim (Marilyn) Macdonald; Sister-in-law, Sue Macdonald; and grandchildren Henry, Holly, John, Sam and Matt; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville on Saturday, August 19, from 4:00-6:00 pm. A memorial gathering and service to celebrate Lois' life will be held on Sunday, August 20 at 2:00 pm at Amity Presbyterian Church, 4605 Scrubgrass Road, Grove City, PA with interment to follow in Mount Irwin Cemetery, Grove City, PA.
Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her many loving friends and her adoring family.
May she rest in peace, forever embraced by the love she shared and the lives she touched.
