Marlene Olga Riedel Sheldon, 90, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, August 14, 2023 at home.
She was born May 12, 1933, daughter of the late Oscar and Ida Schuler Riedel.
Marlene was a member of Centre Wheeling Fellowship, formerly St. John's Evangelical Protestant Church, where she was a member of the choir, taught Sunday School and was the Treasurer for many years. She was also a member of a Ladies' Bible study group and played and taught piano for years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Sheldon; and sister, Ruth Riedel.
She is survived by her nephew, Clay (Sandy) Sheldon; niece, Amber (Mark) Peluchette; four great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 9 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Pastor Terry Endsley officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-242-2311).
Interment to follow in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.
