Nancy Levina (Buchanan) Cercone, 89, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Pittsburgh, Oakdale, PA.
Nancy was born on July 17, 1934 in Wellsburg, WV. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Buchanan and Mabel (Manning) Buchanan.
Nancy retired after 23 years of service to Continental Baking Company, Wellsburg, WV. She was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Americus "Henry" "Ross" Cercone, three children, Charles Cercone, Nancy Bataglia and James Cercone, five siblings, Alfred Buchanan, Lawrence Buchanan, Louise Stout, Bertha Zanos and Alice Harris.
Nancy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Beth Cercone of Indore, WV, son-in-law, Gene Bataglia of Maryland, four grand- children, Alex Cercone and his wife, Jenni of Fairmont, WV, Henry Cercone of Indore, WV, Jeremy Cercone of Wellsburg, WV and Eliza Cercone-Van- Gilder and her husband, Ory of Fairmont, WV, a great granddaughter, Halle Cercone and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Franklin Cemetery Chapel, Wellsburg, WV, where interment will follow next to her husband.
