Ronald "Ron" Smith, age 84, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 surrounded by his family.
He was born January 13, 1939 in Wheeling the son of the late Allen and Twila Bell Smith.
Ron was a retired surveyor for Valley Camp Coal and the City of Wheeling Water Department in Warwood and was a Presbyterian by Faith. He was a collector of records, DVD's, albums and Cd's and enjoyed music and movies.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Smith and one brother, Gary Smith
Survivors include his wife, of 67 years, Elizabeth Kabala Smith; five children, Kimberly (John) Clark of Columbus, OH, Tamara (Mike) Greco of Bridgeport, OH, Jodi (Gary) Hall of Proctor, WV, Ronald (Amanda) Smith of St. Clairsville, OH and Sean (Jennifer) Smith of Baltimore, OH; eight grandchildren, Britney, Travis, Krista, Nick, Kaytlynn, Brandi, Trevor and Rachel; one great-grand- daughter, Holly; two brothers, Randall Smith of Cleveland, OH and Brian Smith of Wheeling and one special brother-in-law, John Kabala of Wheeling and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
