Edward Joseph Burkle, 75, of Wheeling, WV, died Wednesday, September 12, 2023.
He was born June 27, 1948, son of the late Robert and Betty Powell Burkle.
Ed was a U.S. Navy veteran and the owner of Custom Water Care. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Bridgeport Rotary and BNI.
He was an avid golfer, loved western TV shows and football. He had the best sense of humor and was never in a bad mood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Jarrell Burkle; and brother, Frederick Burkle.
He is survived by his grandson, Samuel (Katie) Nikolas; sisters, Mary Jo Keim, Janet (Dennis) Sullivan, Betty Hallman and Christine (Tim) Wise; daughter, Tammy Burkle; step-daughters, Christine (Ned) Holt and Sallie Jarrell; great-granddaughter, Lily Nikolas; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 4 PM – 7 PM with a Vigil Service at 5:45 PM at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-242-2311). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 18, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Paul Cabrita as celebrant. Interment to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kepner Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
