Gerald "Jerry" E. Crupe, 79, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023, at home in Valley Grove, WV.
He was born on December 24, 1943, in Valley Grove, WV, son of James E. and Thelma Mae Vanaman Crupe.
Jerry was a graduate of McKinley High School and served 2 years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Panama. He was retired from Liberty Distributors in Triadelphia, was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Elm Grove, and was a member of the American Legion of West Alexander, PA for over 50 years.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, William Duvall and a nephew, Scott Miller.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Patty) Crupe of 52 years; a son, Michael Crupe (Jody) of Milltown, NJ, and a daughter, Christina Robinson (Mark) of Wheeling; five grandchildren, Caitlyn, Ryan, and Megan Robinson of Wheeling, Tyler and Madison Crupe of Milltown, NJ; one sister, Jenny Duvall of Valley Grove, WV; and five brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Friends will be received on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 4-8 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV 26003. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10 am at Seven Dolors Catholic Church with Father Praveen Mallela as celebrant. Interment to follow at West Alexander Cemetery. Wake Services will be held Friday evening at 7:30 pm.
