Herbert Matthew Taylor, Sr., 74, of Wheeling, WV, died Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Liza's Place.
He was born December 3, 1948, son of the late Oscar and Alice Henry Taylor.
Herbert was a Christian by faith and a drywall finisher. He enjoyed old cars, fishing and traveling with his wife, especially in the fall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Massey Taylor; six siblings; son-in-law, Richard Kurucz; and a granddaughter, Chelsey Monto.
He is survived by his four children, Herbert Taylor, Jr., Daniel (Christine) Taylor, Angelique Kurucz and Laura Weigand; five grandchildren, Casey (T.J.) Orum, Joshua Weigand, Jake Kurucz, Zachary (Kortney) Taylor and Taylor Masciarelli; four great- grandchildren, Zury, Sami, Oaklynn and Mia; and four siblings, Maxine (Dave) Dougherty, Kay Lantz, David (Maria) Taylor and Mary (Gary) Taylor.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 11 AM until the time of service at 2 PM with Rev. Dennis Arnold officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304- 242-2311).
Interment to follow in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard.
