Leona Mae Mucheck, 77, of Hoschton, Georgia peaceful entered the gates of heaven, Sunday, September 24, 2023 at home with her beloved husband and family. Mrs. Mucheck was born in Terra Alta, West Virginia to the late William Fred Strawser and the late Jewel Strawser. In addition to her parents Mrs. Mucheck is preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean Whitehair.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Thomas Mucheck; daughters, MaryAnne (Joel) Vanscoy and Christine Mucheck Moody; sister, Cleo Ann (Richard) Small; granddaughters, CherylAnne (Paul) Cross and Rose Moody; grandson, Christopher Moody; great- grandson, Jaxon Cross; five nephews; and one niece.
A Funeral Mass will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2023 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Father Pete Coppola will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 6-8 pm at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. A Reception will follow at Reunion Country Club, 5609 Grand Reunion Drive, Hoschton, GA 30548.
