Nancy Lee McCarthy, 55, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born March 30, 1968 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret Ann (Hall) McCarthy. Nancy worked at Wheeling Hospital for 21 years as a Dietary Aid. She truly loved and cherished her family, her children and grandchildren were her whole world.
Nancy is survived by her significant other, Shaun Ray; her children, Curtis McCarthy, Keshauna (Richard) Leigh, Robby (Amber) Butler, Jr., Jeremy Butler, Romanauel (Jazmine Winslow) Butler, Kamika Butler and Joshua Butler and their father, Robert Butler, Sr.; her sisters, Margaret McCarthy, Jean (Mike) Hartman and Joann McCarthy; 28 grandchildren, including Raeauna and Samar Butler, whom she raised as her own; one great-grandchild on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Friday, September 29, 2023 from 11 am – 2 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling.
