Pamela Jean Bierkortte Barbaley, 71, of Cherry Hill, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital.
She was born on July 6, 1952, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late John Ralph and Henrietta Jean Mehlman Bierkortte.
Pamela was a retired registered nurse and a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She loved to read, theater, and music. She played piano in the junior symphony back in high school. Pamela was black & gold thru and thru. She loved the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Wheeling Nailers. She always put her family before herself. She enjoyed her weekly "date night" (Red Lobster & a movie) with her husband.
Surviving is her loving husband of 41 years, John Barbaley; three children, Heather J. Joyce of Irwin, PA, Bryan M. Joyce of Covington, LA, Eric P. Barbaley (Julie) of Lone Tree, CO; one sister, Beth (Gerriet) Bierkortte Folkerts of Fredericksburg, VA; one brother, Burke Bierkortte of Wheeling, WV; best friend, Deborah L. Mahlke; three grandsons, Ethan, Grant, and Owen Barbaley; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Bear.
Friends will be received for memorial visitation on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 1 pm until time of memorial service at 4 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 with Father Joseph Wiley officiating.
