Shirley A. Welsh Davis, age 88, of McMechen, WV died Sunday, September 17, 2023 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling, WV.
She was born February 14, 1935 in Glen Dale, WV the daughter of the late Charles "Gibby" and Helen M. McKie Welsh.
She was a retired Insurance agent; and member of St. James Catholic Church, where she was an organist for 50 years, and served with the Rosary Alter Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Davis.
Survivors include three sons, Charles M. Davis of Terra Alta, WV, Terry (Christy) Davis of Bardstown, KY, and John (Sheila) Davis of McMechen; five grandchildren, Terry Davis of McMechen, Jessica (Jason) Reinbeau of Benwood, Shelby Davis, Alex Davis, both of McMechen, and Addison Davis of Fairmont, WV; five great-grandchildren, Lexi, Bryce, Taylor, Manny, and Bishop.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11am until time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 12noon at St. James Catholic Church, 326 Logan St., McMechen with Fr. Doney as celebrant.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, McMechen.
