Andrew Thomas Carey, 67, of Wheeling, WV, died Sunday, October 1, 2023.
He was born March 16, 1956 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Jay and Eileen Maple Carey.
Andrew was a 1978 graduate of Bethany College, worked in the paper industry for 35 years, where he formed many friendships in his travels and was employed by Greif, Inc.
He enjoyed music, especially his daughter's band, Kanawha, he never missed a gig. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, WV Snakes Club, Cave Club and Oglebay Mens Golf Club. He was a loyal friend to many and his hobbies included golfing and watching WVU and the Cleveland Browns football games.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Fisher Carey; daughter, Lauren (Matt) Baker of Wheeling; granddaughter, Hannah Baker; brother, Jay (Pat) Carey of Follansbee, WV; sisters, Lizabeth (Chuck) Goergen of Aiken, SC and Maureen (Stephen) Barr of Bognor, England; sister-in-law, Susie (Mike) Beihl of St. Clairsville, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
