Anthony "Tony" Zwolensky, 76, of Moundsville, died Friday, October 27, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio with his family by his side.
He was born October 15, 1947 in Moundsville; the son of the late John and Veronica Petroski Zwolensky.
Tony served in the US Army, 101st Airborne Division, where he received the Brave Eagle Coin and The Air Medal Award for Herosim while participating in the Aerial Flight; he was supervisor of BOF at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel for 30 years; a member of the Moundsville Country Club, Moundsville VFW Post 437 and Earl Francis Post 3, American Legion; loved golfing, hunting, fishing, skiing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Zwolensky; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Jean Wright; step mother-in-law, Phyllis Wright; sister-in-law, Cheryl Rayle.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Michele Wright Zwolensky; two brothers, Ed (Lois) Zwolensky and their son, Brett (Cindy) and their son, Logan, Rick (Beverly) Zwolensky and their daughter, Lana; brother-in-law, Michael (Kim) Wright and their daughter, McKayla; sister-in-law, Ann Zwolensky; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 4 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, with Michael Eskridge officiating and the Moundsville Honor Guard performing military services.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
