Beverly Marie Vanaman, 81, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Liza's Place.
She was born in Wheeling on July 4, 1942, a daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Miller) Wolzak.
Beverly was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where she served as an Eucharistic Minister for many years, the Elm Grove Eagles and the Polish American Patriot Club (PAP). Many knew her as "Bouncing Bev" and she will be fondly remembered for her loving, generous ways and her kind-hearted spirit.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her significant other, Joe Fatigati; and her two sisters, Margie Meckling and Marilyn Strimel.
Beverly is survived by her four children, John (Stephanie) Vanaman, Jeff (Dinah) Vanaman, Julie (John) Manning and Joanne (Bruce) Edge; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and two nephews, PJ Meckling and Scott Stimel.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 1400 Eoff St. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, October 11 at 10 a.m., at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
