Deanna Kay (Nelson) Parsons, 84, of Toronto, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born November 21, 1938, in Triadelphia, WV, to the late Jepson & Dora (White) Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clarence E. Parsons, in 2020.
Deanna enjoyed being a part of the PTO and the Band parents when her children were in school. She loved to be involved. She was also a member of Triadelphia United Methodist Church.
Deanna is survived by her four children, Crystal (David) McDowell, Pamela (Mike) Swickard, Clarence (Tanna) Parsons, Sheridan Parsons; five grandchildren, Brooks (Kristyn) McDowell, Casey McDowell, Michael Swickard, Aaron (Madi) Parsons, and Seth Parsons; and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Graeme McDowell.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Lawrence, Joseph, and Jepson Nelson, Jr.; and four sisters, Pauline Jackson, Dorothy Nicholson, Wanda Tubaugh, and Helen West.
There will be no visitation or services at this time. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2pm at Triadelphia United Methodist Church, with Pastor Mike Palmer officiating, to remember the lives of her and her dear Honey, Clarence. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Osage Cemetery in Toronto, OH. Arrangements by Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-242-2311).
