Derek Matthew Feller, 29, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Bellaire, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born on March 31, 1994 in Wheeling, West Virginia a son of Curtis and Mary "Molly" Feller.
To know Derek was to love him. He did not know a stranger. He showed friendship, loyalty, and respect to every person that he came across. Derek had a contagious laugh and a smile that lit up every room. He was dedicated to being the very best person that he could be. He loved his family and friends and ensured to remind them of that daily.
Derek was a devoted partner to his fiancee, Morgan DeLuca. Their love was a once in a lifetime bond, it was magic. From the moment they met, everyone knew that they were soul mates. Together, they traveled so that he could race motocross, which was his favorite thing to do. They spent many weekends away together, laughing and racing. He was a standup man that ensured his love was felt by her, and by everyone that he loved, every day. Derek's love will always be cherished and will never be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Benedict J. and Mary Perzanowski, Roger and Carol Feller; uncles, Mark Feller, Dean Feller, Bruce Fellure, Jimmy Prezanowski; aunt, Nancy Monteleone.
Surviving Derek is his soul mate and fiancee, Morgan DeLuca of Columbus, Ohio; parents, Curtis and Molly Feller of Bellaire, Ohio; brother, Ryan (Emily) Feller of St. Clairsville, Ohio; aunts and uncles, Benny (Joyce) Perzanowski of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Bonnie (Dave) Trouten of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Eddie (Judy) Perzanowski of St. Clairsville, Ohio, David (Debbie) Perzanowski of Shadyside, Ohio, Pete (Beth) Perzanowski of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Amy Smith of Bellaire, Ohio, Randy Montleone of Lewis Center, Ohio, David (Beth) Feller of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Melanie Fellure of Buckeye Lake, Ohio; his extended family, Connie and Larry DeLuca of Rayland, Ohio, Madison (Emilio Saldana) of Rayland, Ohio; as well as many cousins; and his beloved cat, Tony.
Friends and family are to be received at the Baukecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio 43906 on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Additional visitation on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 starting at 9:30am at the Funeral Home followed by Mass at St. John Catholic Church in Bellaire, Ohio at 10:30am with Fr. Dan Heusel as celebrant. Burial to follow at New Greenwood Cemetery Bellaire, Ohio.
