Erma (Bene) Wakim, 91, of Wheeling, WV died peacefully October 4, 2023 at Harmony of Morgantown in Morgantown, WV.
Erma had a loving heart that was shared through her generosity, compassion and empathy that was guided by her great, incredible faith in the Lord. She was fortunate to spend more than 47 years of her life with her loving husband, George "John" Wakim who passed away in 2019. In addition to her faith, Erma enjoyed animals immensely and was very proud of her heritage. This pride and enthusiasm lead her to volunteering and active participation with the ASPCA and the Hungarian Club.
In addition to her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Kovach) Bene Farkas, and her beloved husband, John, Erma is preceded in death by all of her siblings; Helen Bene, Dorothy Murral, Elizabeth Marcus, Steve "Pista" Bene Farkas.
Left to cherish her memory and legacy of love is her niece and nephew; Lynn (Cathy) Murral and Cheryl (Kerry) Ketner as well as several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
