Mary Lou Wood Hardman, 87, of Wheeling, died Friday, September 29, 2023 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born April 9, 1936 in Wheeling; the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Rose Wood.
She was a member of the Bridgeport Church of God, Women of the Church of God; worked at Stone and Thomas Department Store; sang in the church choir; enjoyed painting, reading, and music; and dearly loved her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hardman; one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Hardman; one brother, Robert Wood.
Survivors include three sons, James W. (Terri) Hardman, Donald N. (Tara) Hardman, Russell L. Hardman all of Wheeling; one brother, Thomas (Patricia) Wood; one sister, Nancy Plants; ten grandchildren, Mandi Beck, Nathan Hardman, Tia Metz, Terry Davis, Henry Davis, Harley Davis, Elise Fecat, Erica Hardman, Kaydon Board, Kelsey Hardman; several great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11am until the time of service at 1pm at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Rd. Wheeling/Bethlehem with Pastor Kevin Roseberry officiating.
Inurnment to follow in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling, WV.
