Former Wheeling resident William Thomas "Tom" Csurilla passed away peacefully at the age of 88.
Tom grew up in the Woodsdale section of Wheeling till he joined the Navy. After his service he worked as an iron worker till he and his wife started their own steel company. They eventually invested in the state of New Mexico starting their own town Top of the World, NM.
Tom worked tirelessly to build sustainable homes, respecting the land and utilizing it's natural resources. Due to the location astronomers around the world rented space to study the universe. Top of the World is an ideal location for this. Tom's legacy will continue for years to come.
Tom is survived by his daughters Vickie and Andrea. His sister Charlotte 'Cissy' Monteleone, his brother Geary, his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
