Blanche 'Ducky' Madeline Grundy, 93, of Wheeling WV, passed away on Oct. 19, 2023 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
She was born on June 5, 1930, daughter of the late Edward J. Dailer and Blanche (Murphy) Dailer. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Josephs Academy.
After being an operator at C&P Telephone Company, Blanche retired from the WHETELCO Federal Credit Union.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Grundy; son Gregory Grundy; granddaughter Erin Brookes; and three brothers, Edward, James, and Donald Dailer. She leaves behind two daughters, Debbie (Brian) Brookes; Janet (Dan) Dolan; grandchildren Heather (Kent) Lewis, Eric (Ivy) Brookes, Brady (Ty) Medovic, Emily (Mike) Frank, and Andrew Dolan; great grandchildren, Landon and Kendyl Lewis, Emery and Anderson Brookes, Peyton and Maxton Medovic, Charlotte and Isaac Frank.
Blanche was a proud member of the Warwood Lunch Bunch, she enjoyed many years at her Myrtle Beach condo, was an avid reader and crossword enthusiast, and loved spending time with her family and her many friends.
Visitation for Blanche and Robert Grundy will be held at Kepner Funeral Home – Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003, on Saturday November 4, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. followed by a brief memorial service.
