CARL CHAMBERS

Carl L. Chambers, age 84, of Moundsville, WV died Thursday, November 16, 2023 in WVU Wheeling Hospital Medical Park, Wheeling, WV.

He was born April 6, 1939 in Moundville, the son of the late Lee Edward and Della Beatrice Minor Chambers.

He was a retired employee from Ohio Power Kammer Plant; a member of Graysville United Methodist Church; an avid hunter and outdoors man; a big Pittsburgh sports fan; and he was especially proud of developing congregations with his wife.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rev. Patricia Marie Bentley Chambers; two sisters, Gladys Harrigan and Mary Holmes; and three brothers, Lee, Berlin and Wilford Chambers.

Survivors include three sons, David Chambers of Glen Dale, WV, Richard (Karen) Chambers of Delaware, OH, and Charles Edward (Sonja) Chambers of Benwood, WV; a sister, Garnet Midcap of Graysville; nine grandchildren, Scott Anderson, Corey Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Kyle Chambers, Brody Antley, Michael Chambers, Keith Chambers, Marshall Chambers, Chad Verba and Justin Verba; five great-grandchil- dren, Bailey, Hoyt, Scarlett, Carmen, and Warren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Harry Midcap, Jr. officiating.

Interment in Graysville Cemetery, Moundsville.
