DANIEL WILSON

Daniel was born March 13, 1949, in Wheeling, WV to the late Stanley & Gladys (Mulley) Wilson.

Daniel was a decorated and proud United States Marine. He entered the service in 1969 and served in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, the Rifle Marksman Badge, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon, and the Purple Heart Medal. In the following years he enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf with his golf buddies.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his two brothers, Dale Wilson and Donald Wilson.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Cindy Wilson; daughter, Dannel Wilson (Christopher Bowers); stepchildren, Lewis (Robin) Perry and Nichole (Jeff) Parker; grandson, Kyle Houston Perry; and his comfort cat for the last six years, Newt.

Friends will be received Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Kepner Funeral Home-Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave. Wheeling (304-277- 2722), from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
