HELEN “DARLENE” McGOWAN

Helen "Darlene" McGowan, 86, of Wellsburg, WV passed away October 30, 2023, in Minerva, OH. She was born March 30, 1937, in East Liverpool, OH to the late George Myers and Helen Nagy Myers.

She retired from Weirton Medical Center and Home Health, and she was a participant in activities of the Osiris Shriners of Wheeling and the Northern Panhandle Shrine Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John "Buck" McGowan, son Jay Crawford and sister Joyce Willingham.

She is survived by two daughters, Toni Rose of North Canton, OH, and Lisa Reigle (Duane) of Orlando, FL, two sons Jim Crawford (Stacy) of Rockville, MD, Warren Wright (Carole) of Weirton, WV, step- daughter Sharon Haught (Gary) of Wellsburg, WV, step- son George P. McGowan (Marilyn) of Wellsburg, WV, a brother George Myers of Weirton, WV, a sister Marilyn Patterson (Jim), a niece Wendy Isinghood (Ron) of MD, assorted grand children, step-grand children, great-grand children, step-great- grandchildren, great- great-grandchild, and step-great-great-grandchildren, two sons-in-law, Dean Harris of Weirton, WV and Jim Rose of Wheeling, WV also survive.

Visitation will take place on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rhodes officiating at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV.

Interment will follow at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Children Hospital.
