James Vincent Frio, 98, of St. Clairsville, OH, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at his home.
He was born October 12, 1925, in Follansbee, WV, son of the late James and Mary Santoro Frio.
He was a retired Welder for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company, Follansbee Coke Plant and a U.S. Army veteran who served during WWII. He was a Methodist by faith and loved to keep his wife happy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Mowder Frio; 2 brothers, Dominic & Joe Frio; and a sister, Carmen.
James is survived by his 2 sons, James W. Frio of Valley Grove, WV & Rick (Kathy) Frio of St. Clairsville, OH; granddaughter, Katie (Roger) Shunk; 3 great-grandchildren, Ben Clevinger, and Becca & Madison Shunk; and many nieces & nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family with arrangements made by Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304-242-2311).
