JAMES MEANS

James Benton Means, 72, of Paden City, WV died at his home on Monday, October 30, 2023.

James was born in Charleston, WV on September 1, 1951, son of the late Leroy Jack and Launa Mae (Harrah) Means.

He was a retired operator shift foreman for PPG with 37 years of service, loved going to his camp, enjoyed fishing and hunting, member of Wetzel Lodge No. 39 A.F. & A.M. and a Protestant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kayla Michelle Means and sister, Linda Darlene Metz.

Surviving is his wife of forty years, Patricia (Harter) Means; four children, James (Chasity) Means of Paden City, WV, Angie Baker of Middlebourne, WV, Jason Gorby of Middlebourne, WV and Miranda (Timmy) Haynes of Sistersville, WV; five grandchildren, Alex (Rachel) VanCamp, Rae (Cole) Monanteras, Abigail (Thomas Ledergerber, Maryssa Haynes and Christy Billiter; two great grandchildren, Elouise and Margaret.

Friends received 4-7 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Jarvis-Williams Funeral Home in Paden City. Interment to be held at the convenience of the family.
