Jane Helen (Jasinski) Murray, 99, of Wheeling, died on Monday November 13, 2023.
She was born October 22, 1924, in Wheeling, WV, the youngest daughter of the late John and Helen (Nowakowski) Jasinski.
She was a devout Catholic, a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and a former member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church. Jane attended the former St. Joseph Academy and the former Wheeling HS. She was employed for several years as a supervisor at the former Bobbie Brooks Garment company. Jane was fond of dancing and enjoyed playing "Bunco" and Bingo. She was a very kind person and always had a bright, really friendly big smile for anybody she met. She was caring and loving to her family, relatives and friends and always ready to help others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Murray; two sisters, Lillian Bober, Evelyn Tyburski and her three brothers, Emil, Edward and Stanley Jasinski.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Roseanne Jasinski of Glen Dale, WV; 2 very special nieces, Phyllis Yankovich and Mary Bober, both of Benwood, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends thanks and deep gratitude to the staff of "The Welty Home" for the loving care and kindness shown to Jane. She was so content and enjoyed her later years of life at the assisted living facility.
Friends will be received on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4 pm - 7 pm with a vigil and rosary at 6 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242- 2311). Visitation will continue on Saturday November 18, 2023 from 9:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2111 Market St., Wheeling.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum will be at the convenience of the family.
