Lucy C. Ferlise Socha, 96, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, November 6, 2023 at Liza's Place.
She was born December 8, 1926, in Connellsville, PA, daughter of the late Salvatore and Pauline Coradora Ferlise.
Lucy retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel after 40 years as a secretary. She enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, loved playing cards and was a part of the "Lunch Bunch".
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Petrini; second husband, Andrew Socha; four brothers, Guy, John, Louis and Jack Ferlise; two sisters, Jane Pizi and Elizabeth Brock; and two step-children, Andrew Socha and Barbara DiBias.
She is survived by her niece, Maria Oliver; great-nephew, Stephen Oliver and his partner, Shannon Walker; great-niece, Julie (Robert) Kienitz; great-great nieces, Kaelyn and Alexa Oliver; daughter- in-law, Nancy Socha; sisters-in-law, Amy Petrini and Connie Swann; five grandchildren, Victoria and Brian DiBias, Erik (Gina) Socha, Gregory Socha and Timothy (Kristin) Socha; and four great-grandchildren, Evan, Samuel, Katelyn and Hannah Socha.
Friends and family will be received Monday, November 13, 2023 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM with Father Joseph Wiley officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304- 277-2722).
Interment to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
