MEL JOSEPH

Robert Melvin "Mel" Joseph, 93, of Bethlehem, WV, passed away at home on Friday, November 24, 2023.

He was born in Wheeling, WV, on March 24, 1930, son of the late George W. and Elsie Cook Joseph.

Mel graduated from McKinley High School. He retired from Mull Industries as Vice-President of Production and also from Kepner Funeral Homes as Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of the Army National Guard, an avid WVU and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Mel will be fondly remembered for his love of trains, painting by numbers, Tim Horton's, hot dogs and being a fun-loving man.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn Taylor Joseph; a sister, Dorothy Woodruff; and a brother, George William "Bill" Joseph.

Surviving is his loving wife of 27 years, Karen Ann Joseph; his children, Bob (Brenda) Joseph, Gary Joseph (Karen), David (Laura) Joseph, Tom (Patty) Joseph, Myron (Kris) Ray, Lisa (Scot) Goodnight, Michelle (Mike) Agnoni; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Max.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 2-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, (Woodsdale) 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-232-2732) and again on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Warwood United Methodist Church, with Rev. Robert Staub and Rev. Heather E. Rogers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Warwood United Methodist Church.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Greenwood Cemetery.
