William G. "Buz" Thoms, age 68, of Bellaire, OH passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at home.
He was born November 17, 1954 in Cleveland, OH, son of the late William Thoms and Patricia Johnson.
He was an adventurer and an avid golfer. His passion for the sport was only rivaled by his love for riding his Harley and exploring the open road. He was the former owner/ operator of WGT Construction in Bellaire, OH and a US Navy veteran. Above all, Buz cherished the moments spent with his granddaughters, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Jena Lynn Thoms.
Survivors include one son: Jeff (Shannon) Thoms of Lake Wales, FL; one daughter: Jamie Thoms of McMechen, WV; one stepdaughter: Jacquelyn (Kevin) Starkey of Cranberry Twp., PA; one sister: Lelia Racer of Lakeland, FL; one brother: Kenny (Trisha) Thoms of Oliver Springs, TN; his stepmother, Jenetta Thoms of Charleston, WV; three granddaughters: Kylee, Taryn and Cali; several nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 17, 2023 from 10:00am until time of Military Services at 11:00am at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling, WV.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
