Alexis Leanna Grant, born Oct. 15, 1998, of Belmont, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Dec. 29, 2023 surrounded by her parents, Dan and Sonja Grant of Belmont, OH and her longtime nurse and friend, Suzie Reitter of Jacobsburg, OH.
She was a 2017 graduate of Saint Clairsville High School. Alexis was known for her strength and courage. She loved her puppies, camping with her family, going for walks and runs, music, books and movies. She was especially fond of anything related to Harry Potter, Star Wars, The Nightmare Before Christmas and her Cleveland Browns.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Eli Grant; aunt, Catrina Grant; grandfather, Walter Yensen; great grandfathers, Charles Brewer and Bertram Grant; great grandparents, Max and Maxine Hood, Chester, Edna and Dottie Yensen.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandparents, Dan and Doris Grant of Sistersville, WV and Robert and Victoria Mease of Saint Clairsville, OH; great grandmothers, Norma Brewer of Sistersville, WV and Roberta Grant of Mineral Wells, WV; uncles, Matt Grant of Friendly, WV and Kevin (Marnie) Yensen of Flushing, OH; aunts, Renee Bodiford of Tampa, FL and Salena (Jason) Amos of Moundsville, WV; as well as many cousins, friends and her nurses, Kristina Knowlton, Dawn Miller, Lacy Hines, Tia Detling and Bonnie Ritz.
Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists, 204 West Main St. Saint Clairsville, OH from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment with a graveside service to immediately follow at Union Cemetery in Saint Clairsville, OH.
