Arden Lee Watson, 76, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Wheeling Hospital. He was born on June 19, 1947, in Wheeling, a son of the late Charles Watson and Helen (Cox) Kuhn.
Arden was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, retired from Wheeling Park High School after 34 years of service as a science teacher, and was the owner of Arden Watson Contracting. He was a member of the Wheeling Moose Lodge, the Cave Club, the Warwood Vets, the WV Snake Club and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and WVU fan.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jean (Delman) Watson; children, Brent (Kim) Watson, and Anessa (JoJo) Watson; step- sons, Derek (Emily) Leach and Ryan (Erin) Leach; a step-daughter, Courtney (Chuck) Watson; a brother, Gary (Rosie) Watson; and six grandchildren, Connor and Mya Watson, Ava and Charlie Watson, and Michael and Lucas Leach.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Nancy Destefano officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
