Kiziminski, Barbara Jane Rush ("Nanny"), 80, formerly of Valley Grove, WV, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at The Springs at Stony Brook in Louisville, KY.
She was born May 3, 1943, in Atkinson Crossing, WV, daughter of the late James Milton and Lily Jane Kennedy Rush.
She was a graduate of the former West Liberty High School and retired in 2009 as the Associate Director of on-campus recruitment at West Liberty University, where she received an honorary degree in 2009.
With a skip in her step and a smile on her face, Nanny had a zest for life. She made it abundantly clear: the three most important things in her life were the Lord, Tom, and her family. Nanny was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Skedel & Mary Kay Stanley; and grandson, Dalton Windows.
Nanny is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas Adam Kiziminski; four children, Michelle M. (Greg Jackson) Windows of Gaithersburg, MD, Renee K. (Ned, III) George of Wheeling, WV, Trent A. (Kelly) Kiziminski of Wheeling, WV & Todd E. (Erin) Kiziminski of Prospect, KY; eleven grandchildren, Joshua & Noah Jackson, Mason, Grace & Lily George, McKenzie, Jackson & Connor Kiziminski, and Benjamin, Vivienne & Hudson Kiziminski; and many nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV (#304-232-2732) where services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 11 AM with Reverend Margie Carr officiating.
