Dale "BooBoo" Louis Stauffer Jr., 68, formerly of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at his home in Newark, OH.
He was born March 9, 1955, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Dale and Mary Virginia Cunningham Stauffer, Sr.
He was a retired Locomotive Engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad. His career at the railroad was his life dream. He also worked maintenance at Blaw Knox and was a Christian by faith.
Dale was an avid O gauge train collector. He enjoyed shooting guns, boating on Buckeye Lake & the Ohio River, and riding his Harley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Karen Sue Diehl Stauffer; two sons, Kevin (Nichole) Stauffer & Mark (Courtney) Stauffer; sister, Toni (Robert) Shaver; five grandchildren, Tyler, Kayleigh, McKenzie "Kenzie", Madison "Maddie" & Quinn Stauffer; and many nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304-242- 2311) with Reverend Margie Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
