ELWIN ROBINSON
Elwin Robinson, 71, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on November 27, leaving this world with one less father, husband, animal lover, and mischief-maker.
In the months following his diagnosis of multiple myeloma, he continued to dole out humorous, well-intentioned insults at his family and friends’ expenses, sought out the best coffee, drinks, and friends at the Wheeling Coffee and Spice Shop and the Omega Bar, and spent too much money on treats for his cat, Evil Angel. While he is hopefully surrounded by some not-so-evil angels now, his lifelong commitment to his family, humor, and animals lives on.
After fighting his illness for months, in his last days he was asked how he was doing and cheerfully responded “I don’t know — I guess I’ve been sick or something,” and his final words were a request to bring his cat closer so he could pet her one last time.
While his animal friends were his true passion, besides Evil Angel, he is survived by the other loves of his life: his wife, Cathy (Freismuth) Robinson, daughter Molly Robinson, son-in-law Joey Cervone, and family and friends too numerous to mention, all of whom intend to continue his lifelong commitment to mischief, humor, and animals big and small.
