Fr. James A. O'Brien, S.J. was called to eternal life on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Colombiere Jesuit Community in Baltimore, MD. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 7, 1927, entered the Society of Jesus on September 27,1947 and was ordained to the priesthood on June 19,1960. He spent most of his priestly life at Wheeling University in Wheeling, WV.
There will be Funeral Mass on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Michael's Church – 1225 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
