H. Dale Coffield, age 96, of Moundville, WV passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at his home.
He was born May 25, 1927 in Moundville, WV the son of the late Cecil and Mary Maxine Berisford Coffield.
Dale was the former owner of Dale's Electronics in Moundsville and a US Marine veteran of World War II; and a graduate of The College of Hard Knocks in Philippi, WV.
He was a member and past president of both the Moundsville Lions Club and the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce. A member of the B.P.O.Elks, Jr. OUAM, American Legion Post #3-Moundsville, the F.O.P.A. Lodge 112; the Marshall County Farm Bureau; the Moundsville Rifle and Pistol Club; and the Moundville Baptist Church.
Dale was the Grand Marshall of the Moundsville Christmas Parade in 2016 and achieved the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Cecil Coffield in 2016; five brothers, John, Kenneth, Cecil, Jr., Merritt and Charles Coffield; and a sister, Peggy Gribben.
Survivors include his daughter, Debby (Jay) Perkins of Moundsville; a son, Don E. (Glenda) Coffield of Deland, FL; a brother, Dexter (Sandy) Coffield of Maryland; four grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
At Dale's request a private visitation and funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Interment in Limestone Cemetery, Moundsville.
