Phyllis Freda Bland, 86, of Wheeling, WV, died peacefully on December 18, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born July 24, 1937, in Wheeling, WV.
She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Bland, two brothers Stanley and Jim Pekula, and her sister Betty Fortney Pekula.
Phyllis is survived by four children: daughters Melanie (Percy) McGhee of Bellaire, OH; Becky Goundry of Saint Clairsville, OH; Amy (Ed) Jaeger of Wheeling, WV; and a son William (Janelle) Bland of Morro Bay, CA. She was grandmother to nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
