CHRISTOPHER KREGER

Christopher Thomas Kreger, 49, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at home.

He was born April 26, 1974, in Cumberland, MD to Peggy (Adams) Coghlan and the late Thomas Kreger. Chris was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the United States Track and Field Association and the Three Rivers Association. He was an avid traveler, one of his favorite places to visit was Disney for the Art and Food Festival. Chris had a passion for track and field timing and meet management. He truly believed in bringing more track and field opportunities to the state of West Virginia for people of all abilities and owned his own company, K&J Timing for the last 8 years. Chris' true love however, was his family, he cherished every moment with his children and wife.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Smith and Israel Kreger.

In addition to his mother, Peggy Coghlan, and father, John Coghlan, Chris is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Alison (Fry) Kreger; three children, Kyra Kreger, Joshua Kreger and Brendan Kreger; three siblings, Amanda Coghlan, Katherine Pritchett and Matt (Mary) Kreger; his parents-in-law, Richard and Janet Fry; brothers-in-law, Jonathan (Emily) Fry and Patrick Fry; several nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Family and friends will be received for a memorial gathering on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 11 am until time of memorial service at 1 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, with Fr. Paul Cabrita officiating.
