David Andrew Dailer, fondly known as Dubie, left this world on December 30, 2023, at the age of 74.
Born on June 18, 1949, in Wheeling, WV, Dubie lived a life filled with laughter, adventure, and an unwavering love for his family and football.
Dubie's professional journey took him to Florida in 1978 as an engineer with Florida Power and Light. He had an uncanny ability to light up a room, both figuratively and literally, with his brilliant mind and infectious sense of humor.
When he wasn't busy conquering the engineering world, Dubie indulged in his passions. Whether it was savoring a cold beer, exploring new destinations, or cheering on his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish, he approached life with gusto. One of his greatest joys was spending weekends with his football-loving nephews, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Dubie's faith played a vital role in his life. His faith foundation began at Corpus Christi Parish School in Warwood, WV and he was a proud member of St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church in Tarpon Springs, FL.
Dubie is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Gertrude (Kimmins) Dailer, as well as his first wife, Patsy (Tarr) Dailer, whom he lovingly cared for.
He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife of 12 years, Nancy (Harvey) Yaeger-Dailer, who brought immense joy and happiness to his life.
He will be forever remembered by his stepsons Benjamin (Jami) Yaeger and Cory (Melissa) Yaeger, and his step-grandson, Liam. Dubie's siblings, Tom (Peggy) Dailer, Susanne Gedden, and Dottie Hummel, will carry his memory in their hearts.
Dubie's nieces and nephews, Heather (Ron) Newborn, Shannon (Brad) Stalhut, T. Jay (Angel) Dailer, Kerry (Kathy) Dailer, David Dailer, Suzie Dailer, along with his great-nieces and nephews, Mason, Tyler, Allie, Maggie, and Sydney, were blessed to have him as Unk. His love and guidance will forever shape their lives.
