Edward L. Gibson, age 79 of Proctor, WV died Thursday, January 11, 2024 in WVU Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, WV.
He was born October 7, 1944 in Barbour County, WV the son of the late Donald and Nona Weatherholt Gibson.
He was a Christian by faith; a US Army Veteran; a retired coal miner from Consolidated Coal; and he loved auctions.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Violet Gibson; two sons, Gary Gibson of and Randall (Kathleen) Gibson, all of Proctor; and a grandson, Dean Gibson of Proctor.
Family will receive friends on Monday from 11am until time of funeral service at 1pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville.
Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville.
