Surrounded by his loving family, Edwin Stewart Myers, 79, of Glen Dale, West Virginia passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024.
Ed was Born on January 19, 1944 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV to the late Edwin W. and Alice B. (Stewart) Myers.
He is survived in death by his longtime love of 27 years, Karen Grisell and 3 daughters, Lisa (Jim) Rowe, Kirsten Myers and Joy (Mike) Mack. 3 siblings, Christine Harris, Janet Hamstead and Jay (Francie) Myers, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Having served in the US Army from 1966-1969 as a Staff Sergeant stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana and serving one tour of duty in the Vietnam War, it was his longtime desire to be laid to rest alongside his Brothers in Arms, making his final resting place at Arlington National Cemetery.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024, 1pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, One Oak Avenue, Moundsville, WV 26041
