Eileen Elizabeth (West) Robbins died peacefully on January 5, 2024, in her hometown of Moundsville, WV, at the age of 94. She was born on November 30, 1929.
In addition to her parents Arch and Nellie West, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband J. Elwood Robbins, her step- mother Zona West, her brother Clarence West, and her sister Helen Aston.
Eileen is survived by her four children Jimmy (Diana) Robbins, Jeanie (Frank) Heller, Danny (Connie) Robbins, and Susie (Larry) Rodriguez. Additionally, she leaves a legacy of 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
At the age of 16, Eileen received Christ as her Savior and Lord at Calvary Methodist Church. She was a lifelong member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, having taught Sunday school for 50 years.
Eileen's life was her beautiful family, and she was most of all a homemaker. She also worked at Fostoria Glass Company and will be fondly remembered by many as the lady who scooped ice cream at the Marshall Dairy.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Homes-Moundsville Chapel with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Don Rush at 12 p.m. Procession to Oak Grove United Methodist Cemetery will follow directly.
