Emilie Virginia Bartholomew, 81, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, at Belmont Manor, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
She was born in Wheeling, February 15, 1942, a daughter of the late Harry and Virginia (Showalter) Bartholomew. Emilie was an active member of New Life United Methodist Church for many years and worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at Ohio Valley Medical Center until her retirement. You could often find Emilie baking cookies for her many friends. She enjoyed spending time with her pet rabbit, Patches.
Emilie is survived by her sister, Kitty (Walter) Frazier of Scott Depot, WV; her brother, Larry Bartholomew of Wheeling; cousins, Suzie Gaus and Sally (Walt) Minter; nephews, Dr. Gary (Jessica) Frazier and Stuart Frazier, great-nieces and great-nephews, Bart, Cole, Maxwell and Hannah Frazier as well as her very dear friend, Claire Shorts.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 1400 Eoff St. Interment will follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial gardens.
