Mildred Helen (Ernest) Vance, 90 of Wheeling Island passed away peacefully at home on January 26th.
She was a former employee of Hazel-Atlas Glass Company and a member of The First English Lutheran Church. She was a proud housewife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Ernest, two brothers Frank (Bud) Ernest and Fred Ernest, and her loving spouse, Howard P. Vance.
She is survived by her children, Chris (Georgia) Vance of Belmont, OH, Craig Vance of Newark, OH, Curt Vance of Wheeling, WV, Cary (Donna) Vance of Valley Grove, WV, Cara-Lyn (David) Janeczko of Wheeling, WV. Grandchildren Cylie (Joseph) Turkal, Amanda, Cayla, Corey, Caylana, Austin Vance and Zarik and Adrik Janeczko. Great Grandchildren Camden Vance, Adriyanna and Benjamin Turkal. Two sisters Clara Ann Myers of Glens Falls, NY and Marion (Jerry) Watkins of Warwood, WV. Many nieces and nephews, and her faithful pet, Mayme.
Services will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV on Monday January 29th. Visitation is 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.. Interment immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
