Richard Allen Paisley. The 75 year old Vietnam veteran died in Hickory, North Carolina January 21st of pneumonia complications.
He was a retired employee of Bearings, Incorporated of Wheeling.
Rick Paisley grew up in the town where he was a proud 50-year member of the McMechen Volunteer Fire Department. He served his community and served his country spending 20 years with the 463rd Engineering Battalion, U.S. Army Reserve with the rank of Staff Sergeant having also spent a tour in Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Margaret Woody Paisley and a young brother J Gregory Paisley. He was also preceded in death by his former wife and friend Patty Millhouse Paisley.
He is survived by his brother Douglas Paisley (Sandra) of Glen Dale and Franklin, TN and a younger brother Robert Paisley (Teri) of Hudson, NC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral plans will be at the convenience of friends and family with a future memorial service by the McMechen Volunteer Fire Department.
