Robert "Bob" David Yeager, 88, of Wheeling, WV passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2024, at home.
Bob was born July 9, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA (raised in Erie, PA) to the late James & Anna (Exler) Yeager.
Bob's genuine interest and concern for others led him to a satisfying career as a counselor with the WV Department of Vocational Rehabilitation for 32 years. After retirement, his concern for others continued, which was evident through his many friends, especially those who he met through his daily visits to the Howard Long Wellness Center.
Bob graduated from Erie Academy and Penn State University and became a loyal alumni.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister & brother, Vera Minor and James Yeager, M.D.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marilyn (West) Yeager; his children, David Yeager & Lori (Todd) Palmer; his grandchildren, Drew Palmer and Brady Palmer; and all of his special nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 12:30pm until the time of service at 3pm, at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St. Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311), with Pastor Christina Francis officiating.
