Doris Eileen Richmond Harvilla, 98, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital & Geriatric Center.
She was born March 17, 1925, in Dallas, WV, daughter of the late Russell and Irene Whiteman Richmond.
Doris was a graduate of Triadelphia High School and was a homemaker, gardener, and farmer. She loved traveling with her friend, Betty, and visiting her son, Michael in Seattle, WA. She was a member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church, Wheeling, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Harvilla in 2009; twin brother, Dale Richmond; brother, Ellsworth Richmond; son, Michael A. Harvilla; and nephew, Duane Richmond.
Doris is survived by son, Stephen R. (Nancy) Harvilla of Wheeling, WV; daughter, Elizabeth I. (Gregory) Nick of Valley Grove, WV; five grandsons; one granddaughter; and eight great-grand- children.
Friends will be received Friday, February 2, 2024 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311) with Rev. Harry Croft officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
